The sewer system of the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority (PCWASA) consists of the three main divisions of the utility's work in the field -- Operations, Collections/Conveyance, and Technical Services.
First, Operations consist of the wastewater treatment process and two water reclamation facilities at PCWASA, as well as the Authority's efforts to recycle and reuse treated biosolids and wastewater effluent, respectively.
Second, the Collections/Conveyance Division of the PCWASA sewer system consists of the oversight of the utility's sewer mains and sewer lines in the ground, as well as the pump stations that assist in transferring sewer for treatment at either of the two water reclamation facilities. Collections and Conveyance also includes the Authority's work in odor control and CCTV sewer main and sewer line inspections on behalf of WASA customers.
Finally, the Technical Services Division of the PCWASA sewer system includes a number of additional services provided for WASA residential customers, as well as developers and commercial/industrial customers accessing the system. Technical Services includes the Authority's work in Engineering, Sewer System Standards and Specifications (Sewer Specs), Plan Review, specific Commercial/Industrial and Residential projects in economic development, Permits and Inspections, implementation of Sewer Connection Fees, Grease Trap oversight and Interceptor Approval, the Authority's FOG (fats, oils, and grease) Program and public education, Wastewater Haulers and Truck Inspections, Utility Location services, and GIS/Mapping of PCWASA infrastructure.
